The IM-RP3PP pressure reducing valve is an automatic pilot-operated valve designed to reduce the inlet pressure to a lower, stable downstream setpoint. It is suitable for industrial and process systems that require precise downstream pressure control and compensation for upstream pressure variations or flow fluctuations.
Operating principle:The valve is controlled by a 3-way hydraulic pilot (Model RP3PP) which modulates the diaphragm opening according to the desired downstream pressure. The pilot fills or vents the valve control chamber to maintain the selected downstream pressure, compensating for upstream pressure changes and flow variations. The 3-way hydraulic circuit fully opens the valve when upstream pressure is equal to or lower than the regulated pressure, minimizing head loss. A 3-way manual control (Model CM4V) allows the valve to be fully opened or closed independently of the pilot.
