Description

Product overview
The GEVILIB is designed to allow transition from insemination to gestation without moving animals. A collective controller operates the rear gate to select different functional positions for each feeding station.

Rear gate positions
  • FREE: The gate swings; sows can enter and exit freely.
  • FEEDING: The sow can enter the feeding station but cannot leave at will.
  • BLOCKED: The sow can neither enter nor exit.
  • STALL: The gate is locked inside the feeding station, making the GEVILIB operate as a traditional stall.

GEVILIB AIR (new)
An evolution of the GEVILIB controlled by a pneumatic actuator to centralize and automate opening/closing of feeding stalls. Key added advantages include:
  • Centralized control of all feeding stations simultaneously.
  • Reduced manual effort for operating refectories.
  • Automation of door opening before meals for zootechnical benefits.
    • Reduced competition thanks to synchronized triggering of the liquid feeding system.
    • Preservation of forward-flow management by limiting movements in the gestation area when adjusting GEVILIB positions (favorable to biosecurity).
    • Optimization of time spent on husbandry since animals are already at feeders when staff arrive.

Advantages
  • Collective controller to operate all feeding stations simultaneously.
  • Possibility to isolate a single feeding station to separate a sow.
  • Transition from insemination to gestation without moving animals.
  • Raised trough at the rear for improved air circulation, allowing the sow to breathe easily even when lying down.

Description / construction details
  • Reinforced lower railings to prevent injuries to the sow.
  • Trough higher at the rear to limit feed waste and facilitate cleaning.
  • Upper railings reinforced with two bars above the sow.
  • Hygienic, durable and anti-corrosion stainless-steel feet.

Characteristics / technical specifications
  • Model name: GEVILIB.
  • Function: transitional stall allowing insemination → gestation without moving animals.
  • Rear gate: 4 operational positions (FREE, FEEDING, BLOCKED, STALL).
  • Control: collective controller to actuate rear gate positions; optional pneumatic actuator for GEVILIB AIR variant.
  • Trough: raised at rear to reduce feed waste and improve hygiene.
  • Safety: reinforced lower railings to prevent injuries; upper railings reinforced with two bars.
  • Materials: stainless-steel feet, hygienic and anti-corrosion.
