Piglet nest

Overview
In farrowing, there are 3 types of nest: straight nest, angle nest, corner nest. They are equipped with transparent lids, affording perfect visibility of the nest interior. This allows easy checking of piglets during their first days of life while limiting the risk of bacteria transmission.

Advantages (general)

• Facilitates control of piglets without the need to access the pen

Straight nests — Advantages

• 20% to 40% reduction in energy consumption
• More piglets per farrowing and heavier, reducing the mortality rate

Corner nests — Advantages

• Opening on the round or square cover for the integration of a Rotecna or Sun Skot lamp, also allows to have a nest without lamp
• Reduces mortality due to hypothermia and crushing
• Optional handle (hatch) to close the nest
• Lifting hood to retrieve the piglets inside the nest
