Description

DESCRIPTION
Indoors, parasite pressure gives no warning. It concentrates in the riskiest phases — the calf newly arrived at the feedlot, the growing lamb, the sow in lactation, the hen at peak lay — and it shows up as it always does: lower intake, worse conversion and a batch that does not close its numbers.
Cocci Cero is AMBiotec's nutritional phytobiotic in powder form, designed to be incorporated into feed or into the TMR wagon, for ruminants, pigs and poultry in all categories. It is the reference in the Balance range built for intensive systems: where a lick block works out in the field, Cocci Cero goes into the feed formula and reaches every animal in the batch alike, with the exact dosing that manufacturing provides.
Its base is a blend of dextrose, carob powder, whey permeate, magnesium carbonate and monopropylene glycol, carrying a blend of flavouring compounds at 15,400 mg/kg — the phytobiotic fraction, natural plant extracts — and natural vitamin E at 1,419 IU/kg. Its action rests on the balance of the digestive microbiota: phytobiotics favour beneficial flora over undesirable flora, help preserve the integrity of the intestinal mucosa and reduce its permeability, and improve the use of nutrients from the ration.
WHAT IT BRINGS TO THE FARM
  • Nutritional support on farms under parasite pressure: coccidia, cryptosporidia, nematodes and cestodes are the usual burden indoors, and Cocci Cero fits into the farm's parasite control programme without replacing it.
  • Balance of the digestive microbiota and support against the effects of toxins from undesirable bacteria such as clostridia.
  • Protection of the intestinal mucosa, with the reduction in permeability that entails, and support for the animal's natural defences.
  • Better use of nutrients, with the corresponding effect on zootechnical results.
  • It is dosed at the feed mill: no extra handling, no treated drinking water, and the same dose for every animal in the batch. Ingredients of natural origin, with no known side effects, that do not generate resistance.
TARGET SPECIES AND PRODUCTION STAGES
  • Cattle: feedlot calves during the first two months, dairy cows at drying off and suckler cows.
  • Sheep and goats: lambs in growing and finishing, ewes and does in lactation.
  • Pigs: sows in lactation and finishing pigs.
  • Poultry: laying hens during the laying period, and rearing.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
  • Oral administration through the feed or the TMR wagon. It is incorporated at the mill or in the farm's own mixer, at the dose corresponding to each species and stage.
  • Feedlot calves: 300 g per tonne of feed when the AMBomba corrector is used, 500 g per tonne with other correctors, during the first two months of finishing.
  • Lambs: 500 g per tonne of feed.
  • Dairy cows: 500 g per tonne of dry matter in the TMR wagon, during the dry period, two months.
  • Suckler cows: 3 kg per tonne of feed block. Give 2 kg per cow per day for 20 days.
  • Sows in lactation: 500 g per tonne of feed throughout lactation.
  • Finishing pigs: 200 g per tonne of feed throughout finishing.
  • Laying hens: 200 g per tonne of feed during the laying period.
Field example: a 12-tonne batch of calf finishing feed with the AMBomba corrector takes 3.6 kg of Cocci Cero.
Practical points: being a low-density powder, between 0.45 and 0.55 g/ml, it should be added together with the other micro-ingredients rather than at the end of the mix, to secure homogeneity. The 300 g per tonne dose applies only when the feed carries the AMBomba corrector; with any other corrector the dose is 500. And in dairy cows the moment is drying off, not lactation.
COMPOSITION AND ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS
  • Composition: dextrose, carob powder, whey permeate, magnesium carbonate and monopropylene glycol.
  • Additives (per kg): blend of flavouring compounds 15,400 mg/kg. Technological, polyethylene glycol glyceryl ricinoleate (E484) 14,960 mg/kg and silicic acid (E551a) 31,900 mg/kg. Nutritional, vitamins, pro-vitamins and chemically well defined substances having a similar effect: RRR-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (3a700ii) 1,419 IU/kg.
  • Analytical constituents: crude fibre 11.6 %, crude ash 4.7 %, crude oils and fats 1.7 %, crude protein 0.8 %, magnesium 0.4 % and sodium 7.57 mg/kg. Calcium, phosphorus, lysine and methionine, all below 0.1 %.
  • Physical and chemical properties: light brown powder with a characteristic odour, moisture at or below 8.5 %, pH 6 ± 1 and density of 0.45 to 0.55 g/ml.
  • How the formula works: Cocci Cero combines a phytobiotic fraction of natural plant extracts with vitamin E of natural origin, on a powder carrier formulated so that the mixture spreads evenly through the feed and stays stable all the way to the trough.
SAFETY AND COMPATIBILITY
  • Ingredients of natural origin, with no known side effects. They do not generate resistance and show no incompatibility with the other products in the farm's nutritional programme.
  • Cocci Cero is a complementary feed and does not replace the judgement of the responsible veterinarian or the treatments they prescribe.
LOGISTICS
  • Formats: 20 kg bag and 1,000 kg big bag.
  • Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture.
  • Storage: in a cool place below 25 ºC and dry, away from heat sources and sunlight, with the packaging tightly closed.
REGULATORY FRAMEWORK
  • Category: complementary feed.
  • Registration number: ESP45000371. Manufactured and marketed by Agroalimentaria Manchega de Biotecnologia, S.L. (AMBiotec), Toledo (Spain). COCCICERO is a trade name registered with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, file 0492530, class 31, granted on 7 September 2026.
  • Management systems: FAMI-QS, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Formulation developed in AMBiotec's own R and D laboratory, which analyses raw materials, feed, water and faeces as part of its technical service to the farm.
