DESCRIPTIONIn the fattening of calves and lambs, the first months after arrival at the feedlot carry the highest digestive risk: change of diet, animals from different origins and parasite pressure in the facilities. Having the support built into the complete feed itself, at every meal, simplifies management and provides continuity.
Cocci Cero Macro is the phytobiotic in AMBiotec's Balance range designed to be incorporated into complete feed at the feed mill. It combines a mixture of plant-derived flavouring substances (essential oils) and natural vitamin E on a base of dextrose, carob powder and whey permeate. It comes in a 600 kg big bag, designed for high-volume feed manufacturing.
Its action rests on the balance of the intestinal microbiota: it stimulates the beneficial flora, helps to protect the mucosa and strengthens the animal's natural defences during fattening.
WHAT IT BRINGS TO THE FARM- Parasite pressure: nutritional support in feedlots with coccidia and cryptosporidia challenge. It fits into the farm's control programme without replacing it.
- Intestinal microbiota: stabilises the beneficial intestinal microbiota and reduces the effects of toxins from undesirable bacteria such as clostridia.
- Defences: strengthens the immune system during the most demanding stage of fattening.
- Growth during fattening: support for more even growth of the batch.
- Handling at the feed mill: incorporated into the complete feed, with no extra work on the farm.
TARGET SPECIES AND PRODUCTION STAGES- Fattening calves: in the complete feed.
- Fattening lambs: in the complete feed.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE- Administration: orally, via the feed.
- Label dose: calves and lambs, 2 kg per tonne of feed.
Field example: a 25-tonne batch of fattening feed takes 50 kg of Cocci Cero Macro; a 600 kg big bag is enough for 300 tonnes of feed.
Practical points: pre-blend with a small part of the feed before adding it to the mixer; respect the mixing time; and keep the big bag closed between uses.
COMPOSITION AND ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS- Composition: dextrose, carob powder, whey permeate, magnesium carbonate and monopropylene glycol.
- Additives (per kg): mixture of flavouring substances 3,850 mg. Technological additives: glyceryl polyethyleneglycol ricinoleate (E484) 3,740 mg; silicic acid (E551a) 8,030 mg. Nutritional additives: RRR-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (3a700ii) 352 IU.
- Analytical constituents: crude protein 0.2 %, crude fibre 2.9 %, crude oils and fats 0.42 %, crude ash 1.18 %, sodium 1.89 mg/kg, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, lysine and methionine below 0.1 %.
- Physico-chemical properties: light brown powder with a characteristic odour.
- How the formula works: the mixture of aromatic substances is the phytobiotic fraction, natural vitamin E complements it, and the base of dextrose, carob and whey permeate makes it easier to incorporate evenly into the feed.
SAFETY AND COMPATIBILITY- Natural origin: ingredients of natural origin, with no known side effects, that do not generate resistance.
- No withdrawal period: no withdrawal period for meat or milk.
- Veterinary judgement: Cocci Cero Macro is a complementary feed and does not replace the diagnosis or judgement of the veterinarian responsible for the farm.
