Description

DESCRIPTION
Some feedlots face both problems at once: raw materials at risk of mycotoxins and a coccidia challenge that recurs with every intake of calves. For those farms, AMBiotec brings the two reinforcement lines of the AMBomba range together in a single mineral supplement.
AMBomba Terneros 0,75 % Micox Cocci is AMBiotec Nutrition's mineral complementary feed for beef calves, from weaning to slaughter, on farms with a high mycotoxin and coccidia challenge. It provides vitamins A, D3, E, B1 and B6, betaine and the trace elements zinc, manganese, copper, iodine, cobalt and selenium; yeast cell walls of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (mannan-oligosaccharides and β-glucans); bentonite and sepiolite; and the most concentrated mixture of flavouring substances in the range, the phytobiotic core which, according to the catalogue, is aimed at the parasite challenge. According to the catalogue, it includes additives for the control of the main mycotoxins.
It is added to the feed at 7.5 kg per tonne throughout the fattening period.
WHAT IT BRINGS TO THE FARM
  • Double challenge in a single product: support against mycotoxins and a reinforced phytobiotic core for farms with a coccidia challenge, without adding products to the formula.
  • Mycotoxins: according to the catalogue, it contributes to the control of the main mycotoxins in raw materials, with bentonite, sepiolite and yeast cell walls.
  • Parasite challenge: nutritional support in feedlots with a coccidia challenge. It fits into the farm's control programme without replacing it.
  • Microbiota and performance: mannan-oligosaccharides and β-glucans support the balance of the microbiota; better use of the ration and more uniform growth.
  • Complete mineral supplement: vitamins, trace elements, betaine and macrominerals for the whole fattening period, at a single dose of 7.5 kg/t.
TARGET SPECIES AND PRODUCTION STAGES
  • Beef calves: from weaning to slaughter, in the growing and fattening phases.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
  • Administration: orally, via the feed. For use exclusively in the manufacture of animal feed.
  • Dose: 7.5 kg per tonne of feed.
Field example: a 10-tonne batch of fattening feed takes 75 kg of AMBomba Terneros 0,75 % Micox Cocci, two and a half 30 kg bags. A 1,200 kg big bag covers 160 tonnes of feed.
Practical points: pre-blend with part of the feed before it goes into the mixer; use it instead of another mineral supplement in the range, not together with it; do not give oral macrolides at the same time; and handle it with a dust mask, gloves and safety goggles.
COMPOSITION AND ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS
  • Composition: calcium carbonate, magnesium oxide, mannan-oligosaccharides and β-glucans (yeast cell walls of Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and anhydrous sodium sulphate.
  • Vitamins and betaine (per kg): vitamin A (3a672a) 906,752 IU; vitamin D3 (3a671) 181,350 IU; betaine hydrochloride (3a925) 8,895 mg; vitamin E (3a700) 3,740 IU; vitamin B1 (3a821) 1,214 mg; vitamin B6 (3a831) 1,214 mg.
  • Trace elements (per kg): zinc (3b603) 16,000 mg; manganese (3b502) 10,500 mg; copper (3b405) 365 mg; iodine (3b202) 117 mg; cobalt (coated cobalt(II) carbonate, 3b304) 39 mg; selenium (3b801) 31 mg.
  • Other additives (per kg): antioxidants BHT (E321) 33 mg and BHA (1b320) 8 mg; mixture of flavouring substances 62,130 mg; sepiolite (1g562) 86,380 mg; bentonite (1m558i) 35,112 mg.
  • Analytical constituents: calcium 23.5 %, magnesium 3.8 %, sodium 0.9 %, phosphorus 0.01 %.
  • Physico-chemical properties: coarse greyish powder with a characteristic odour; pH 7 ± 1; density 1.4 ± 0.3 g/ml; water solubility below 15 %.
  • How the formula works: the range's vitamin-mineral base, with the clay and yeast cell wall block of the 0,7 % MICOX and the most concentrated flavouring mixture in the entire range.
SAFETY AND COMPATIBILITY
  • No coccidiostats: contains no coccidiostats or antiparasitic additives.
  • No withdrawal period: no withdrawal period is required for meat.
  • Macrolides: simultaneous oral use with macrolides should be avoided.
  • Vitamin D: simultaneous administration of vitamin D2 is prohibited.
  • Copper and pasture: the copper level may cause copper deficiency in cattle grazing pastures with a high molybdenum or sulphur content (label).
  • Handling: protection against exposure to cobalt by inhalation or skin contact; dust mask, gloves and safety goggles.
  • Veterinary judgement: it is a complementary feed and does not replace the diagnosis, treatments or judgement of the veterinarian responsible for the farm.
LOGISTICS
  • Formats: 30 kg bag and 1,200 kg big bag.
  • Shelf life: 9 months from manufacture.
  • Storage: in a cool, dry place, below 25 °C.
REGULATORY FRAMEWORK
  • Category: mineral complementary feed for calves from weaning to slaughter. For use exclusively in the manufacture of animal feed.
  • Registration number: ESP45000573.
  • Manufacturer: manufactured and marketed by Agroalimentaria Manchega de Biotecnología, S.L. (AMBiotec). Origin: Talavera de la Reina (Toledo), Spain.
  • Management systems: FAMI-QS, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • R&D&I and technical service: AMBiotec's own laboratory analyses mycotoxins in raw materials and feeds and performs parasitological faecal analysis, the two data points that justify this variant.
