DESCRIPTIONMycotoxins cannot be seen in cereal, but they show in the feedlot: calves that eat less, grow unevenly and respond worse to ration changes. When raw materials come from a wet harvest or difficult storage, the vitamin-mineral supplement is a good place to add one more layer of protection, without adding products to the formula.
AMBomba Terneros 0,7 % MICOX is AMBiotec Nutrition's mineral complementary feed for beef calves, from weaning to slaughter, with specific reinforcement against mycotoxins. It provides vitamins A, D3, E, B1 and B6, betaine and the trace elements zinc, manganese, copper, iodine, cobalt and selenium. To that base it adds Saccharomyces cerevisiae cell walls (mannan-oligosaccharides and β-glucans), two clays, bentonite and sepiolite, and a mixture of flavouring substances. According to the catalogue, it incorporates additives for the control of the six most harmful mycotoxins in raw materials, which provides greater feed safety and production stability.
It is added to the feed at 7 kg per tonne and replaces the range's standard mineral supplement when the mycotoxin risk makes it advisable.
WHAT IT BRINGS TO THE FARM- Mycotoxins in raw materials: according to the catalogue, it contributes to the control of the six most harmful mycotoxins, with bentonite, sepiolite and yeast cell walls in the same formula.
- Mineral supplement and protection in a single supply: vitamins, trace elements, betaine and macrominerals for the whole fattening period, at a single dose of 7 kg/t.
- Intestinal wall and microbiota: the yeast mannan-oligosaccharides and β-glucans support the balance of the digestive microbiota.
- Production stability: more regular growth of the batch when raw material quality varies.
- Clean manufacturing: according to the catalogue, coated vitamins and minerals with an anti-dust treatment; sepiolite and bentonite as anticaking agents.
TARGET SPECIES AND PRODUCTION STAGES- Beef calves: from weaning to slaughter, in the growing and fattening phases.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE- Administration: orally, via the feed. For use exclusively in the manufacture of animal feed.
- Dose: 7 kg per tonne of feed.
Field example: a 10-tonne batch of fattening feed takes 70 kg of AMBomba Terneros 0,7 % MICOX, two and a half 28 kg bags. A 1,200 kg big bag covers about 171 tonnes of feed.
Practical points: pre-blend with part of the feed before the mixer and respect the mixing time; use it instead of the standard mineral supplement, not together with it; do not give macrolides orally at the same time; and handle it with a dust mask, gloves and safety goggles.
COMPOSITION AND ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS- Composition: calcium carbonate, magnesium oxide, mannan-oligosaccharides and β-glucans (Saccharomyces cerevisiae cell walls) and anhydrous sodium sulphate.
- Vitamins and betaine (per kg): vitamin A (3a672a) 985,600 IU; vitamin D3 (3a671) 197,120 IU; betaine hydrochloride (3a925) 9,500 mg; vitamin E (3a700) 4,014 IU; vitamin B1 (3a821) 1,320 mg; vitamin B6 (3a831) 1,320 mg.
- Trace elements (per kg): zinc (zinc oxide, 3b603) 16,900 mg; manganese (manganous oxide, 3b502) 11,300 mg; copper (cupric sulphate pentahydrate, 3b405) 393 mg; iodine (calcium iodate, 3b202) 126 mg; cobalt (coated cobalt(II) carbonate, 3b304) 42 mg; selenium (sodium selenite, 3b801) 34 mg.
- Other additives (per kg): antioxidants BHT (E321) 36 mg and BHA (1b320) 9 mg; sepiolite (1g562) 115,720 mg; bentonite (1m558i) 33,230 mg; mixture of flavouring substances 55,000 mg.
- Analytical constituents: calcium 17 %, magnesium 3.9 %, sodium 1 %, phosphorus 0.01 %.
- Physico-chemical properties: coarse greyish powder with a characteristic odour; pH 7 ± 1; density 1.4 ± 0.3 g/ml; water solubility below 15 %.
- How the formula works: the vitamin-mineral base of the AMBomba range, with two clays and yeast walls for support against mycotoxins, and a reinforced aromatic blend.
SAFETY AND COMPATIBILITY- No withdrawal period: no withdrawal period is required for meat.
- Macrolides: simultaneous oral use with macrolides should be avoided (because of the bentonite).
- Vitamin D: simultaneous administration of vitamin D2 is prohibited.
- Cobalt: it is recommended to limit the cobalt supply to 0.3 mg/kg in the complete feed, taking into account the risk of deficiency according to local conditions and the diet.
- Handling: protective measures to avoid exposure to cobalt by inhalation or skin contact; dust mask, gloves and safety goggles.
- Veterinary judgement: AMBomba Terneros 0,7 % MICOX is a complementary feed and does not replace the diagnosis or judgement of the veterinarian responsible for the farm.
LOGISTICS- Formats: 28 kg bag and 1,200 kg big bag.
- Shelf life: 9 months from manufacture.
- Storage: in a cool, dry place, below 25 °C.
