DESCRIPTIONThere are feedlots where coccidia pressure appears again and again: arrivals of calves from different origins, feed changes and stress phases concentrate the parasite challenge just when the animal most needs to grow. On those farms, the vitamin-mineral supplement can provide something more than vitamins and trace elements.
AMBomba Terneros 0,55 % Cocci is AMBiotec Nutrition's mineral complementary feed for beef calves on farms with a high parasite challenge, from weaning to slaughter. It provides vitamins A, D3, E, B1 and B6 and the trace elements zinc, manganese, copper, iodine, cobalt and selenium, and contains a mixture of flavouring substances three times more concentrated than that of AMBomba Terneros 0,5 %: this is the phytobiotic core which, according to the catalogue, supports performance and gut health in critical phases of fattening. According to the catalogue, the vitamins are coated and the minerals have an anti-dust treatment.
It is added to the feed at 5.5 kg per tonne and replaces the standard mineral supplement in batches or farms with higher parasite pressure, without adding one more product to the formula.
WHAT IT BRINGS TO THE FARM- Farms with a parasite challenge: nutritional support in feedlots with coccidia pressure. It fits into the farm's control programme without replacing it.
- Gut health and performance: its reinforced phytobiotic core supports gut health and performance in the critical phases of fattening.
- Mineral supplement and core in a single supply: vitamins, trace elements and macrominerals for the whole fattening period together with the phytobiotic reinforcement, at a single dose of 5.5 kg/t.
- Stable vitamins and clean manufacturing: according to the catalogue, vitamins coated against oxidation and minerals with an anti-dust treatment; sepiolite as an anticaking agent.
- Programmes with fewer antibiotics: it fits into antibiotic reduction strategies in fattening, without replacing the veterinarian's judgement.
TARGET SPECIES AND PRODUCTION STAGES- Beef calves: from weaning to slaughter, in the growing and fattening phases, on farms with coccidia pressure.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE- Administration: orally, via the feed. For use exclusively in the manufacture of animal feed.
- Dose: 5.5 kg per tonne of feed.
Field example: a 10-tonne batch of fattening feed takes 55 kg of AMBomba Terneros 0,55 % Cocci, just under two 30 kg bags. A 1,200 kg big bag covers about 218 tonnes of feed.
Practical points: pre-blend with part of the feed before the mixer and respect the mixing time; use it instead of AMBomba Terneros 0,5 %, not together with it; and handle it with a dust mask, gloves and safety goggles.
COMPOSITION AND ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS- Composition: calcium carbonate, magnesium oxide and anhydrous sodium sulphate.

- How the formula works: the same vitamin-mineral base as the AMBomba range for calves, with the reinforced aromatic blend that gives the Cocci version its name.
SAFETY AND COMPATIBILITY- No coccidiostats: it contains no coccidiostats or antiparasitic additives; its reinforcement is of aromatic origin.
- No withdrawal period: no withdrawal period is required for meat.
- Vitamin D: simultaneous administration of vitamin D2 is prohibited.
- Handling: protective measures must be taken to avoid exposure to cobalt by inhalation or skin contact; use a dust mask, gloves and safety goggles.
- Veterinary judgement: AMBomba Terneros 0,55 % Cocci is a complementary feed and does not replace the diagnosis, the treatments or the judgement of the veterinarian responsible for the farm.
