Description

CATEGORY / TYPOLOGY
CATEGORY: WATER INTAKE
TYPOLOGY: SCREENS

WHEN TO USE IT
The GGPSC-type sub-vertical cable flat-bar screen is designed for macro-screening at intake structures and for large sewage or industrial wastewater treatment plants. It is particularly suitable for deep and wide channels where high-capacity removal of coarse debris is required.

HOW IT IS MADE
It comprises: a frame in press-bent steel sheet; a filter formed by a set of flat bars fixed to the channel by support crosspieces; a steel pendulum bucket with comb that slides on guides with wheels; a bucket-handling system with three steel cables, a cable drum and supports; a pendulum gearmotor keyed to the drum shaft; an electric actuator managing bucket rotation via the third cable; and a dedicated bucket cleaning/discharge system installed at the machine top.

HOW IT WORKS
Debris deposited on the bars is lifted by the pendulum bucket during the upward stroke. The bucket is rotated and emptied at a defined distance from the top discharge point by the electric actuator and its specific geometry. After a pause at the top, the bucket descends while remaining at a safe distance from the bars thanks to the rotation control and guide system. The cycle repeats automatically. Overload protection is provided by standard dynamometric devices or, optionally, by electronic current/absorption limiters. The absence of mechanical moving parts submerged in water, together with the simple automatic operation, ensures reliable long-term performance.

STRENGTHS
  • No mechanical moving parts in water
  • Suitable for deep and large channels
  • Compact overall footprint
  • Capable of lifting large debris
  • Rugged construction
