When to use it
The GVC-type vertical chain screen by SERECO is suitable for a wide range of screening requirements in terms of channel dimensions, flow rates and filtration openings. GVC is SERECO's best-selling screen and has been refined over time to improve functionality, lifespan, energy consumption and quality.

How it is made and how it works
This screen features a cold-bent steel sheet frame supporting guides for special roller-type chains. Drive sprockets are mounted only at the top of the unit; at the bottom the chain runs over fixed return elements to avoid submerged moving parts, increasing reliability and durability. One or more rakes mounted on the double chain remove material retained on the bars. A comb-cleaning device with an oscillating motion cleans the rake and facilitates discharge into the hopper below. Motion is provided by a robust gearmotor; overload protection is provided by standard dynamometric devices or optional electronic current limiters.
