CATEGORY / TYPOLOGY WATER INTAKE / PENSTOCKS GATES
DESCRIPTION The P2V series sluice gates are used as shut-off elements for channels, underwater inlets and storage tanks. They feature a one-piece enbloc steel plate with stiffening ribs, lateral seals in SBR elastomer hollow round bar and frames in standard steel sections. Actuation uses steel double screws hinged to the gate and a double-reduction gearbox operated by handwheel; P2V3A/P2V4A versions are supplied with electric actuator. Sealing can be on a smooth seating surface or via a wedge scheme: four sliding bronze wheels on shafts and four wedges bolted to the frame produce horizontal thrust to compress sealing surfaces. Gates are available with seals on three sides (P2V3) or four sides (P2V4), in light, medium or heavy series, and with rising or non-rising screw options. Standard construction is carbon steel; full stainless steel construction is available on request.
