Product
The GRSIS is a compact rotating drum filter designed for filtration of small flow rates (up to some hundreds of m3/h) of wastewater, seawater, lake or river water for industrial processes, drinking water production, irrigation or general production processes.

Construction

• Fully enclosed compact parallelepiped housing in stainless steel containing all components.
• Horizontal cylindrical drum reinforced by radial steel profiles to provide a large free cylindrical surface resistant to rotation and hydraulic loads.
• Series of bolted removable filter panels in square mesh or perforated plate for easy replacement.
• Fixed central shaft supporting the drum.
• Two side supports with self-lubricating bushings sized for continuous operation in water.
• Gearmotor with cylindrical gears; drum rotation via pinion engaging a rack.
• Counter-current washing bar with high-pressure nozzles to clean the filter from inside to outside.
• Hopper for collection of screened solids and wash water; gasket sealing between drum and container wall.
• Overload protection via dynamometric devices or optional electronic absorption limiters; electrical control panel included.

Operation
Influent enters axially through a flanged inlet. Water flows through the filter panels from outside to inside; filtered water recombines and exits axially via a flanged outlet. Solids retained on the outer surface are displaced into the hopper by the counter-current washing and discharged through a flanged outlet. The unit includes a wash-water filter, overflow flange and bottom discharge as standard options.
